Training Plans is officially here.
We’ve been building it in the open across the last few releases — first the plan builder (the week × day grid, the periodization bands, per-workout coaching notes), then apply (dropping a plan onto your team’s schedule with Race, End, or Start anchoring, and plan context flowing through to every athlete). What was still missing was everything that happens after a plan goes live.
Today that’s done — and with it, Training Plans leaves beta. You can now run a plan across its entire life from one place: see every week, skip one when the season gets in the way, restore it later, or pull the whole plan while protecting the workouts your athletes have already banked.

A manage panel for every applied plan
Open any plan you’ve applied and you land on its manage panel: a summary header (which plan, which team or group, who applied it, and the current-week badge) over a week-by-week breakdown. Each week shows its calendar dates, how many plan workouts it holds, and whether it’s in the Past, happening now (Current), or still ahead (Future).
The week math is the exact same engine that powers the apply preview, so what you see here lines up perfectly with what landed on the schedule.
Skip a week — without moving anything else
Life happens mid-season: exam week, a school holiday, a stretch of weather that wipes out training. You can now skip a single week of an applied plan.
The important part is what doesn’t happen: no other week moves. Your taper stays anchored to race day. Smagpie doesn’t slide the rest of the plan forward to fill the gap — the week is simply skipped in place.
When you skip, the week’s not-yet-completed workouts come off athletes’ calendars, but anything an athlete already completed is preserved — the history stays intact. You can add an optional reason for the skip, and tick a box to notify the affected athletes (in-app, push, and email) if you’d like them to know.
Restore a skipped week
Skipped a week and then the trip got cancelled? Restore puts the week back exactly as it was — same workouts, same days — in one step. As with skip, no other week is touched.
If your athletes sync their plan to a Garmin, Coros, or Intervals.icu account, the restored workouts reappear on their devices automatically.
Remove a plan — keep every completed workout
Sometimes a plan needs to come off entirely — the goal race changed, or you’re switching approaches. Remove Plan pulls the whole plan off the calendar, but it’s careful with history: every workout an athlete has already completed is preserved, so their training log stays honest. Only the not-yet-done, plan-linked workouts are removed.
Those removed workouts also drop off athletes’ watches automatically, so nobody’s device is left showing a session you’ve cancelled.
See your running plans on the Coach Hub
Your Coach Hub now has an Active Training Plans section: a quick read of every plan you have running — its title, target, which week it’s on, and the countdown to race day — most recently applied first. Tap any card to jump straight into its manage panel. When you have no active plans, the section simply isn’t there.
Faster plan editing
A quieter win: opening a plan with a lot of distinct workouts used to fire off a long series of separate lookups behind the scenes. We collapsed that into a single request, so the editor opens noticeably faster on big plans — with no change to how it looks or works.
Heads up — browser will refresh
This release updates the wire contract behind the training-plan management screens, so your Smagpie web app will reload itself the next time you open it. You may need to sign in again. Session Tracker phone apps update on next open as usual.
