Move and copy schedule assignments by dragging

For Team Coaches

Building a training week used to mean a lot of clicking — open an assignment, change the day, save, repeat. Starting today, it’s a drag.

On the desktop Training Schedule, you can now grab any assignment and drop it wherever it needs to go. The schedule updates instantly. If you’re moving an assignment from a group workout to the Whole Team slot, Smagpie will ask you to confirm since that expands who sees it — but for everything else, the drop just happens and an Undo option waits in case you overshoot.

Copying is just as simple. Hold Ctrl (or on Mac) while you drag and Smagpie switches to copy mode — the ghost pill that follows your cursor labels itself COPY so there’s no ambiguity. Drop it on Tuesday to run the same session twice in a week. Drop it on a second group to give them the same workout without rebuilding it from scratch.

This works on the full desktop matrix view. The mobile swipe layout is unchanged.

How this helps your coaching

  • To move an assignment:

Click and drag any assignment on the desktop Training Schedule. A ghost pill follows your cursor showing the action, destination day, and group. Release to drop.

  • To copy an assignment:

Hold Ctrl (or ⌘ on Mac) while dragging. The ghost pill switches to COPY mode so you know exactly what will happen before you let go. Useful for pushing the same workout across multiple groups or repeating a session later in the week.

  • Changed your mind?

A 10-second Undo option appears in the corner after every drag. One tap and the schedule is back exactly as it was.
