Share Your Playbook — Library Sharing, Notifications & More

For All Coaches

Build Once, Coach Everywhere

This is a big one. You can now share your workout libraries with any coach on Smagpie — or with yourself across different teams.

Picture this: you’re a triathlon coach who also runs a local run club. Until today, you’d rebuild the same running library twice. Now you build it once, generate a share code, and subscribe from your other account. Done.

Sharing works just as smoothly with other coaches. Send them your share code and they’ll get an invitation with a preview — complete with sample workouts — so they know exactly what they’re getting before they accept. Libraries support rich Markdown descriptions with live preview, so you can document your training philosophy right alongside the workouts.

Want to discover what’s out there? The new Browse Public Libraries tab lets you explore libraries that coaches have made available to the community. Find something you like, subscribe, and start programming with it immediately.

Manage everything from a dedicated sharing page — see who’s subscribed, revoke access, update descriptions. Check out the full rundown on our Library Sharing feature page.

Your Library List, Redesigned

The library list got a visual overhaul. Full-width rows now show sport icons, key metadata, and status badges at a glance. Less clicking, more context. It’s a small change that makes daily navigation feel noticeably faster.

Notifications That Actually Help

The new bell icon in your toolbar shows your unread count at all times. Click it for a quick-view popover of recent activity, or open the full mailbox with filter tabs to sort through everything.

Important events surface as real-time toasts so you catch them in the moment. And if you opt in to push notifications, Smagpie will reach you even when the app isn’t open — personalized with your coach name so athletes see who’s reaching out. On iOS, we’ll walk you through adding Smagpie to your home screen for the best experience. Dial it all in from the new Notification Preferences page.

Coach Identity & Athlete Connections

Set your display name — answer the question “What do your athletes call you?” — and it’ll show up wherever athletes interact with your content. You can also assign a primary coach to each athlete or group, keeping responsibilities clear as your staff grows.

See the Future (of Fitness)

The Fitness/Fatigue/Form chart now draws dashed projection lines based on planned workouts. See where an athlete is heading before they get there, and adjust the plan while there’s still time.

Referral Codes

Find your team referral code in settings and share it with other programs. You’ll be able to track which teams came in through your link — because growing the coaching community should come with a little credit.

This release is packed. Go explore, share something great, and let us know what you think.
