/coach/hub — your team, urgency-sorted
You open Smagpie before practice. You want to know in one screen: who needs me, who’s good, who’s missing. The new Coach Hub is built for that moment.
Every athlete sits in a roll-call list, sorted by what matters today: anyone you flagged, then anyone who left a note, then completers, then no-shows, then rest days. The order does the triage so you don’t have to.
Each row carries a 7-dot week strip showing the last seven days of completion at a glance — green for done, amber for partial, dim for rest, red for missed. A today stat sits next to the dots: kilometers if they ran, minutes if they swam, watts-hours if they rode — sport-aware, no scrolling. A form-score column flags accumulating fatigue before it becomes a conversation.
Click into an athlete and a training log drawer slides in from the side without taking you out of the page. You stay on the team view; you just read what they wrote, see their overall feel, and move to the next one.
Brick days, finally rendered properly
If your athlete bikes in the morning and runs in the afternoon, that’s a brick — a single training day, two sports, two effort signatures. Until now Smagpie picked the dominant sport and showed those numbers. Today on the Coach Hub you’ll see both sports on the row, each with its own distance / time / power / HR, plus a Brick · total time sub-line so you can see the full effort at a glance.
Triathlon coaches: this is for you.
A quieter session, fewer surprise log-outs
Behind the scenes we shipped a three-layer fix for a race condition that could occasionally bounce coaches and athletes back to the login screen when several tabs or background requests refreshed at the same time. You shouldn’t notice anything different — except that you’re not getting kicked out anymore.
Heads up
You may need to refresh your browser the first time you open Smagpie after this update. Your client will be prompted to upgrade automatically.
The Coach Hub is the first slice of a larger workflow surface we’re calling the Coach’s Daily Dashboard — modular, customizable, and zone-based. More on that soon.
